Omote Gyaku, Settō & Kiri Sage November 26th

Class began with bōshurikenjutsu practice, following by keri drills and studying keri kaeshi in depth. After atemi no tanren, we continued reviewing omote gyaku and oten. Following this we examined two iterations of Settō, focusing on illuminating the basic mechanics before abbreviating them, and the correct use of the spine and hips to create power.

Following on from this we reviewed the main version of Kiri Sage, before going onto the three Sayugyaku versions, focusing on integrating kenjutsu and taijutsu. The class concluded with ryūtai undo.
