Te Hodoki, Oni Kudaki, Kenjutsu, Kokū, Renyo & Sōsetsu

Bujinkan Dublin
初見先生 – 蹴り

Class began with shurikenjutsu and teppan nage, followed by several versions of te hodoki. Following this we reviewed the ura and omote versions of Oni Kudaki from kumiuchi, before also recapping some applications and study methods of zenpō kaiten.

After a quick break we reviewed the mechanics of cutting from Kukishin Ryū, looking at using correct tai sabaki to generate powerful cuts. We continued onto Gyokko Ryū with Kokū & Renyo, reviewing the ashi sabaki, atemi, kyusho and other keypoints, before concluding with Sōsetsu from the Okuden of Kotō Ryū

“This technique, as with any in Taijutsu, encompasses the past, the present, and the future. People who look at only one of these three are lost, just like people who think only of themselves.” – Hatsumi Sensei
