Class began with a review of the kihon of kamae, tsuki, uchi gata and uke gata, working on the key mechanics of each. After this we moved onto musha dori, looking at correct kuzushi, entry, kotsu of the gyaku and final break. From here we moved onto Ganseki Nage, working again on kuzushi and kotsu, before looking at correctly projecting Aite, as well as some henka and applications.
After a quick break we look at Iaifū, working on the correct draw and distance for Aite, the tobi gata, kotsu and feeling for Tori. From here we moved onto a Happō Giri Sayugyaku, working on the basic kata, before looking at applications with various weapons, positions and timings.
