Ukemi Taihenjutsu & Kosshi Kihon Sanpō

Bujinkan Dublin
初見先生 – 十文字

Class began with a ground up review of taihenjutsu, working on the breathing, alignment and structure of zenpō and kohō kaiten, from various kamae, before working on the correct form of zenpō and kohō ukemi, looking at creating a functional position to guard, recover and counterattack from.

After this we reviewed all three kata of the Kosshi Kihon Sanpō, looking at the kamae, sabaki, uke gata and atemi gata, before looking at the use of ma-ai, chōshi and heihō built into the form.
