Class began with a review of the Torite Kihon Gohō, working on proper use of koshi and tai sabaki in each, effecting Aite’s kotsu and focusing on correct position to create proper kuzushi.Some related gyaku waza and henka to the main kata were also examined.
For the kenjutsu section of the class we reviewed Shihō Giri, working on the basic sequence of movements, before working on three different timings and various levels of resistance from Aite. Finally we looked at Gokuraku Otoshi and Jigoku Dori from kumiuchi.
